On Council resuming, the Attorney General reported that the Bill had passed through. Committee with a slight amendment and moved that it be read a third time.

ALIEN ENEMIES (WINDING UP) AMENDMENT BILL.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the Second reading of the Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend further the Alien Enemies (Winding up) Ordinance, 1914.

Mr. HOLYOAK addressed the Council and moved that the words and shall continue vested in him and shall not be assignable or transferable by him to any present enemy be inserted subject for a period of ten years from the commencement of this Ordinance after the word “ Ordinance in the third line of section 18.
Mr. ANTON seconded.
The Attorney General and His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council. On the amendment being put to the vote it was declared lost six members voting against and five Mr. WE YUK, Mr. POLLOCK, Mr. LAU CHC-PAK, Mr. HOLYOAK, and Mr. ANTON for the amendment.
