REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.--The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee (No. 9), dated the 31st October, 1916, and moved its adoption.

RESOLUTION. The Colonial Secretary moved the following Resolution:--

That it is desirable that the sum of $2,000 inserted in the Estimates for the years 1916 and 1917, under the headings "Miscellaneous Services, Grants in aid of other Institutions' $2,000 for Chinese Plague Hospitals" be applied for the general purposes of the Chinese Public Dispensaries, at the discretion of the Secretary for Chinese Affairs.
