The following notices have been issued by Mr. F. G. FIGG, during the month : On the 3rd at 12.10 p. The barometer has fallen in Manila apparently owing to the The depression mentioned existence of a depression in the Pacific to the E of Luzon. yesterday has reached E Japan, and another depression has appeared over N China. Mode- rate S winds are indicated in the Formosa Channel and moderate SE and E winds over the N part of the China Sea." Forecast-" SE or variable winds, light; showery.”

On the 4th at 12.25 p. "The barometer has fallen slightly on the S coast of China, Pressure remains low over N China. It is also low over the and risen quickly in Luzon. N part of the China Sea, but the observations are insufficient to indicate definitely the existence of a cyclonic depression. The highest pressure is over the Philippines. Moderate SE winds are inlicated in the Formosa Channel, and E winds over the N part of the China Sea." Forecast:-E winds, moderate; thunder showers."

On the 16th at 11.55 a. - The barometer has risen moderately over E Japan, and fallen slightly over the China coast, the Loochoos and the Philippines. A depression appears to be developing in the Pacific, probably to the NE of Luzon. Pressure is highest to the E of Japan in the North, and over the S part of the China Sea in the South. Light to moderate E winds are indicated in the Formosa Channel, and light variable winds over the N part of the China Sea.' Forecast:-" Light variable winds ; fair."
