Amur Estuary.

By order of the Commandant of the Fortress Nikolaievsk on Amur, ships are for- bidden to anchor in the region enclosed by four pairs of white bearing signs from the line Chadbah-Roj destvensky village, and up to the line: Battery Meo-Ogorodny signals; the said bearings are provided with white lights at night.

Harbor Charges.

EFFECTIVE at once, a charge of 40 cents per bill of lading ton will be made for right of basin both at Cristobal and Balboa, when cargo is transferred from ship to ship anchored in the harbor.

The Astronomical positions are only approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are given both True and Magnetic, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather, The heights given are above high

water.

AUSTRALIA EAST COAST.

Inner Barrier Route Beacon replaced.

Position.-Dee (d) Reef, black square beacon on north-west end.

Latitude 15° 30' S.; Longitude 145° 19' E.

Remarks.The beacon, which was recently destroyed, has been replaced. Publications affected.--Australia Directory, Vol. II., 1907, page 350.
