OTICE is hereby given that the necessary Petition, Declaration and Specification required by the Patents Ordinance, 1912, have been duly filed in the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong, and that it is the in- tention of the above-nained EMPIRE MACHINE COMPANY by Messrs. DENNYS & BOWLEY, their Agents, to apply to His Excellency the Governor- in-Council at 9.30 a.m., on the 21st day of September, 1916, for Letters Patent for the exclusive use within the Colony of Hongkong of the said invention.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the above-named Company will be held at the Office of the Liquidator, New Government Building, Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, on Wednesday, the 20th day of September, 1916, at 12.30 p.m. precisely, for the purpose of having the account of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the Winding-up has been conducted and the pro- perty of the Company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and to pass his remuneration and also to pass the following Extraordinary Resolution, viz:-

That the Books, Accounts and Documents of the Company, and of the Liquidator thereof be retained by the Liquidator, he undertaking to destroy the same at the expiration of five years from the Dissolution of the Company.
