The Astronomical positions are only approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are given both True and Magnetic, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather. The heights given are abore high water.

Inner Barrier Route-Beacons destroyed.
Position. (a) Ar (r) Reef, red triangular beacon on northern end.
Latitude 14° 32' S.; Longitude 144° 55' E.
(b) Pea (p) Reef, red triangular beacon on eastern extremity.
Latitude 13° 33' S.; Longitude 143° 39' E.
Remarks.--The beacons in positions (a) and (b) were recently destroyed. Publications affected.-Australia Directory, Vol. II., 1907, Pages 366 and 410.

Confucius Channel.
Centaur Lower Buoy to be Moved.
REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 466, notice is hereby given that the Centaur Lower Buoy, Confucius Channel, has been moved. This Buoy is now moored in 41 feet of water at low water of spring tides, and from the Buoy, Fork Tree Beacon bears N. 864° W., magnetic, distant 24 miles.
The characteristics of the Buoy remain unchanged.
