SHANGHAI DISTRICT-YANGTZE RIVER.

North Channel Entrance-Tsungming Crossing.

Direction of Channel Changed-Buoys Moved.

REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 461, notice is hereby given that the direction of the channel on the Tsungming Crossing, North Channel Entrance to Yangtze River, has changed and that the following Buoys have been moved to mark the new channel:-

The East Entrance Buoy is now moored in 51 feet of water in the fairway leading to the eastern entrance to the Crossing. From the Buoy, Dumb Beacon bears N. 361° W., distant 143 miles. Its characteristics remain unchanged.

The Crossing Buoy is now moored in 21 feet of water on the northern side of the channel. From the buoy, Dumb Beacon bears N. 564 E., distant 2:85 miles. Its characteristics remain unchanged.

The West Spit Buoy remains unchanged.

The least depth of water on the Crossing as now buoyed is 14 feet.

All bearings given are magnetic, and depths are those of low water of extraordinary spring tides.
