Bar Channel--Alterations in Aids to Navigation--Inner Buoy Established.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following alterations and addition have been made to the Aids to Navigation marking the channel across the Bar in the approach to the port of Lungkow.
The Lungkow Bar Leading Marks have been moved and are now situated to the south- ward of the town of Lungkow. The high, or rear, mark is a white pole, 60 feet high, and surmounted by an inverted triangular shape. From this mark the Custom House Flagstaff bears N. 29° W., distant 574 cables. The front, or low, mark is a white pole, 50 feet high, and surmounted by a triangular shape. It is situated 2 cables N. 89° 30′ W. from the high, or rear, mark.
The Entrance Buoy has been moved, and from its new position the Custom House Flagstaff bears N. 76° E., distant 1:87 miles. Its characteristics remain unchanged.
The Bar Buoy has been moved, and from its new position the Custom House Flag- staff bears N. 66° E., distant 12 miles. Its characteristics remain unchanged.
A black Spar Buoy, to be known as the Inner Buoy, has been moored on the inner side of the Bar. From the Buoy the Custom House Flagstaff bears N. 63° E., distant 101 miles.
All bearings given are magnetic.
