Mason Point Beacon and Quarantine Beacon Moved.
NOTICE is hereby given that Mason Point Beacon, Tsungming Island, and Quaran- tine Beacon, Chungpaosha, have been moved, and their positions are now as follows:-
Mason Point Beacon has been moved further inshore, and from its new position
Fork Tree Beacon bears S. 61° W., distant 7:17 miles.
Quarantine Beacon has been moved to the south-eastward, and from its new
position Woosung Light-house bears S. 553° W., distant 3'66 miles.
The characteristics of these Beacons remain unchanged.
All bearings given are magnetic.

Taihanratsu Staff Light.
NOTICE is hereby given that a flashing light has been exhibited from the staff erected at Taihanratsu, and it is as follows:-
Name Taihanratsu Staff Light.
Position. Latitude 21 deg. 57 min. 33 sec. N.; Longitude 120 deg. 45 min.
25 sec. E. (according to the Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 250).
Construction and painting.--Staff, painted white.
Height of Light.--24 feet from the base and 33 feet above the water. Order and character of light.-White Flashing Light by aceton gas, showing
one flash during every three seconds.
Illuminated arc.- ----For an arc of 141 degrees of the horizon from N. 82 degrees W., through North, to N. 59 degrees E.; but a red ray illuminates 47 degrees from N. 82 W. to N. 35 degrees W., and a green ray illuminates 52 degrees from N. 7 degrees E. to No. 59 degrees E. The bearings are magnetic and from seaward.
