Red Pier-Head Lights for the tiro Piers at Calicut.
Ir is hereby notified for the information of Mariners and others that from and after 15th February, 1916, a red fixed light visible 2 miles in clear weather will be exhibited from an ordinary lantern erected on a post at the sea end of each of the North and South Piers to guide small craft returning from the anchorage.
The position of these lights is approximately Latitude 11° 15′ N., Longitude 75° 46′ E., and the height of the lanterns above high water is 23 feet.
The lights are not reliable.
