Gulf of Pechili-Approach to Taku Bar.

Taku Light-Vessel to be moved.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 1st March, 1916, the Taku Light-vessel will be moved 4.92 cables S. 11° W. from its present advertised position. It will then be moored in 23 feet of water, and from the Light-vessel the Cavalier at the North Fort will bear N. 69° 10′ W., distant 8 miles.

This movement will place the Light-vessel on the leading line of the Taku Bar Outer Leading Marks.

All bearings given are magnetic, and depths are those of low water of spring tides.

No. S. 19. The following description and terms of the proposed leases of certain Crown Land at Kowloon Bay, New Kowloon, comprising portions of the foreshore and sea bed, are published under the provisions of The Foreshores and Sea Bed Ordinance, 1901.

DESCRIPTION OF THE LOTS PROPOSED TO BE LEASED.

As shewn on plan signed by the Director of Public Works which can be seen at the Office of the Public Works Department.

TERMS OF PROPOSED LEASES.

1. In consideration of payment of the agreed premium and upon completion of the reclamation of the area and other works stated in the conditions of letting to the satisfac- tion of the Director of Public Works, it is proposed to grant Crown Leases of the whole of the areas tinted red on the said plan and having an approximate area of 132-07 acres for the term of 75 years commencing from 1st July, 1898, renewable for a further term of 24 years less 3 days at re-assessed rentals, together with a further area of about 92.6 acres for the purpose of forming roads.

2. The leases will be subject to and contain all Exceptions, Reservations, Covenants, Clauses, and Conditions usually inserted in the Crown Leases of Inland Lots in the New Territories of Hongkong; the leases will also specify the purposes for which the lands are leased (ie., whether for the purpose of reclamation, building dwelling houses, facto- ries, or godowns for the storing of coal or other goods, or whether for any other purpose) and shall contain provisoes that in the event of the lessees, their executors, administra- tors and assigns, or successors and assigns (as the case may be) failing, at any time during the continuance of the term of the said leases, to use the demised lands for the purpose so specified as aforesaid, without the previous licence or consent of His Majesty, His Heirs, Successors or Assigns, signified in writing by the Governor, then it shall be lawful for His Majesty, His Heirs, Successors or Assigns, by the Governor or by any Officer authorized by him in writing, to re-enter on the lands, foreshore, and sea bed included in and demised by such leases or any portion thereof in the name of the whole,
