The gun and the ball are placed at Lat. 43° 6' 48'5" and Long. 8 o'cl. 47 min. 345 sec., near the Astronomical Observatory. The mast for the ball is white, with a pennant arc on top. The ball is red, diameter 1,067 metres, rises to 28.45 metres above sea level and 13.98 metres from the foundation of the mast.
Should the ball, by accident not drop automatically, it will be slowly lowered after the shot.
