OTICE is hereby given that RICHARD FUHRMANN and HEINRICH HEYN trading as Messieurs REUTER BRÖCKELMANN AND COMPANY of Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong Merchants have on the 27th day of April 1906 applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Marks →→→
1. The representation of four men sitting at a table upon which is a variety of articles or curio spread, one of the men at the head of the table is hold- ing up to his mouth as if he was about to drink from it a cup, whilst another man is holding in his left hand another cup the third man is holding in his hands a piece of coral like a branch of a tree and the fourth man is holding a tray with a round box on it, to the right of the table are two men each in charge of a borse and cart and another man is in the act of receiving from one of these men who are in charge of the horses the contents of his cart, above is written in Chinese characters the
words (五路進寶) meaning
presentation of valuables by five states", and the whole picture is sur- rounded with a floral border.
2. An artistic design having a background of lily flowers with leaves, in the centre of the design is a scroll upon which, in the centre, the words

U Yeo" (meaning “as one pleases generally," made of jade stone and the holders of them are crossed beneath the scroll and also beneath the scroll appears the representation of a heart above which is the figure four the whole picture is surrounded with a fancy design of blossoms and leaves.
3. The representation of a Chinese literati and two Chinese girls the literati has
a scholar's cap on his head and a sitting on a stone sent outside it pavilion surrounded with a wooden lence with his left arm resting on the fence holding his beard with his righs band and he is looking at a young girl who is kneeling be ore him, to the left of the literati is another Chinese girl standing upright in front of some bamboos growing on one side of the pavilion, with ber arnis crossed resting on one or two rocks between which the first mentioned girl is kneeling and in the distance may be seen a rocky hill and above the hill
is written (儒林詩婢庚子 三月中之吉良村 朱梓作於海上) in Chi-
nese characters meaning Poetesses amongst the literati" Done by CHU TSZE alias LEONG CHOy while at sca the lucky day middle decade 3rd moon Kang Tsze (year) and a seal also in Chinese characters (ie. the scal of the artist or writer).
4. The representation of a Chinaman of high rank sitting on a chair on a raised platform behind which stand two Chinese women with large fans in their bands standing around the platform are 8 Chinamen one of whom is holding by one of its fore legs an angry horse which is standing on its hind legs prancing in front of the platform above the picture in Chinese characters appear the words (
meaning "the picture of
the subduing of a horse", and also

ter Bröckelmann and Company" the whole picture is surrounded with a fancy design.
5. The representation of a Chinese General kneeling down with his left hand resting on a large urn and in his right hand he is holding a sword aloft in front next to the urn is a pig's head on a tray and another Übinese General is standing to see what the other General is doing with the urn and pig's head, on the left is a table at which a Chinese prince with a cup on the table in front of him is sitting, and to his left stands a Chinese official and to his right a Chinese soldier armed with a sword in its sheath on the right is also a tab.e at which is sitting another Chinese Prince holding a cup with his left band and to his right hand stands a Chinaman (who is supposed to be his adviser) holding in his left a staff tipped with long hairs whilst a Chinese soldier armed with a sword in its sheath is standing at the foot of the table pointing with his left hand at the Generals above the pie- ture are written in Chinese characte

cordifolia a jatropha cureas, with a Chinese stringed musical instrument known as "Kam" on his lap with his right hand resting on it and with his left hand quite open held up to his beard as if he was playing with it with his fingers and with a literati's cap on his head. To the right of the Chinaman is a sheet of water with water lily plants and a pair of swans in it. To the left is a Chinese boy holding aloft in his hands a branch of a plum tree and in front of the Chinaman are a few chrysanthemum plants with five flowers on them and a stork. The whole picture is sur- rounded with a fancy border in the upper part of which are printed the

The representation of a young Chinese gentleman sitting beneath the shade of 3 trees by the roadside his right hand is placing a bead on the centre of a board resting on the top of a rock with a receptacle on each side of the board whilst he is in the act of play- ing a game known amongst the Chi- nese as the "hemming in chess" with a Corean gentleman who is standing close by with the forefinger of his left hand pointing at the game above a little to the left of the players is written in Chinese characters

The Trade Marks Nos. 1 to 8 have been used by the Applicants in respect of the following goods :-
Cotton piece goods of all kinds, in Class 24, since the following years, viz., No. 1 since 1900, Nos. 2 and 3 since 1901, Nos. 4, 5, 7 and 8 since 1903, and No. 6 since 1905.
The Trade Mark No. 9 is intended to be used by the Applicants forthwith in respect of the following goods :-

bead with a ring in its beak, in the name of EDWARDS & RAWSON LIMITED who claim to be the proprietors thereof.
The Trade Mark has been used by the applicants since the month of January 1870 in respect of the following goods :—
