By virtue and in exercise of the power conferred on him by rule 18 of the Hong Kong (Non-domiciled parties) Divorce Rules, 1936, published in the Gazette of 3rd January, 1936, as Government Notification 15, the Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the Honourable CHALONER GRENVILLE ALABASTER, O,B.E., K.C., Attorney General of Hong Kong, to be Proctor in this Colony and as such to exercise within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong the duties assigned to His Majesty's Proctor in England by sections 181 and 182 of the Supreme Court of Judicature (Consolidation) Act, 1925, (15 and 16 Geo. 5, c. 49).

The appointment notified by Government Notification 566 in the Gazette of 29th July, 1938, is cancelled.

ORDINANCE No. 37 of 1932. (POLICE FORCE).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) of the Police Force Ordinance, 1932, the Governor in Council further amends the Police Pensions Regulations set forth in Government Notification No. 688 published in the Gazette of the 20th October, 1933, as follows:

Amendments.

(a) Paragraph (1) of regulation 10 is deleted and the following paragraph is substituted therefor :—

(1) Where it is established to the satisfaction of the Governor in Council that an officer has been guilty of negligence, irregularity or misconduct or that, as in this regulation provided, his conduct has not otherwise been good, a pension, gratuity or other allowance to him may be reduced or altogether withheld.

(b) Paragraph (4) of regulation 10 is amended by the addition of the words "to him" after the word "granted" at the end thereof.

(c) The following paragraph is added at the end of regula- tion 10:-

(5) Nothing in this regulation shall be deemed to affect the pensions and gratuities provided for in regulations 14 and

15.
