FREE ALLOWANCES OF WATER.

(Regulation 6).

Until further notice the amounts of free allowances of water shall

in the case of approved hospitals—20 gallons per inmate per day;

in the case of approved charitable institutions-15 gallons per inmate

per day;

in the case of approved Chinese public dispensaries-24,000 gallons

per annum each;

in the case of the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club (Fanling supply only)-

6,000 gallons per day.

No. 801.His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :-

No. 803.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JAMES RALSTON, M.A., to act as Senior Inspector of English Schools, Education Department, with effect from the 16th September, 1938, and until further notice.

No. 804.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. CHARLES RAYMOND STODDART, M.I.S. (N.S.W.), M.T.P.I. (N.S.W.), to be a Land Surveyor, with effect from 6th October, 1938.
