ORDINANCE No. 21 of 1932. (PENSIONS).

WHEREAS FREDERICK JAMES LING, Esquire, late quantity surveyor in the Public Works Department, Hong Kong, retired from the public service of this Colony on 6th November, 1937, and under Pension Regulations "B" was granted a pension :

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said pension be increased:

AND WHEREAS the pensionable emoluments of the office held by the said Frederick James Ling prior to retire- ment were not sufficient to entitle him to such increased pen- sion under the said Pension Regulations :

NOW THEREFORE, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Pensions Ordinance, 1932, the Governor in Council makes the following regula- tion :

Notwithstanding anything in the Pension Regulations "B" made under the Pensions Ordinance, 1932, and published as Government Notification 775 in the Gazette of 9th December, 1932, a pension of five hundred and thirteen pounds six shillings and eight pence per annum shall be granted to Frederick James Ling, Esquire, late quantity sur- veyor in the Public Works Department of this Colony, under the same regulations and conditions as if such pension had been granted to him in pursuance of the said Pension Regula- tions "B", in substitution for the pension heretofore granted to him under the said regulations, such substituted pension to commence on and be payable as from the 7th day of November, 1937.
