ORDINANCE No. 2 of 1889. (EVIDENCE).

Pursuant to section 2 (a) of the Evidence Ordinance, 1889, it is hereby ordered by the Governor in Council that the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, a foreign (Chinese) banking company carrying on business in this Colony, be and the same is recognized as a bank for the purposes of the said Ordinance.

ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT

SHIPPING).

By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 42 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, and of all other powers thereto him enabling, the Governor in Council hereby amends the form for seaman discharge book, published as Government Notification No. 716 in the Gazette of 16th September, 1938, by deleting the word "Captain's" and substituting therefor the word "Master's in the seventh column of the 3rd and following pages.
