ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SHIPPING).

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 39 (17) and (18) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance No. 10 of 1899 it is hereby notified that junks, sampans and other Chinese vessels are hereby prohibited from anchoring or mooring alongside the portions of the seawall for a distance of 40 feet measured from each side of the new Harbour Office pier.

No junk, sampan or other Chinese vessel shall be brought alongside or lie off any of the said portions of the seawall or pier nor shall any such vessel approach any of such portions of the seawall or pier or tie up or lay alongside any portion of the pier, unless engaged on Government duty.
