ORDINANCE No. 18 of 1935. (BUILDINGS).

His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased under section 167 (1) of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, by order to direct, and it is hereby ordered, that the provisions of sections 120, 123, 124 and 132 of the said Ordinance shall apply to the New Territories:

Provided that in such application the said sections 120, 123 and 124 shall be construed as if the terms "Building Authority" and "Director of Public Works" included the term "District Officer of the District".

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 530.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN BARROW to be District Officer in the Northern District of the New Territories, with effect from 11th July, 1938.

15th July, 1938.

No. 531.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize Mr. JOHN BARROW, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories at the following places :-

The Magistracy, Tai Po, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, Ping Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, with effect from 11th July, 1938.

No. 532.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. CHAU TSUN-NIN, C.B.E., to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council in place of the Honourable Sir ROBERT HORMUS KOTEWALL, Kt., C.M.G., LL.D., who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from 29th June, 1938.
