The rainfall for the month of May at Victoria Peak was 9ins. 46 on 20 days at Mount Kellett, it was 11ins. 13 on 13 days, at Botanical Gardens, 10ins. 42 on 10 days at Cheung Chau, 8ins. 50 on 10 days, at Sai Kung, 9ins. 37 on 15 days, at Taipo, 7ins. ·17 on 16 days, at Ping Shan, 9ins. 16 on 9 days, at Fanling, 8ins. 97 on 18 days, and at Lok Ma Chau, 5ins. 58 on 15 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 414 at 24h. 00m. on the 3rd. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 63 miles per hour at 21h. 08m. on the 3rd.
