No. 380.-His Excellency the Governor has approved the relinquishment by Paymaster Lieutenant-Commander SYDNEY HAMPDEN ROSs of his Commission in the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force, as from 7th May, 1938.

No. 381.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Jemadar FEROZE KHAN, Royal Indian Army Service Corps, to be one of his Honorary Aides-de- Camp, with effect from 12th May, 1938.

Hong Kong.

ORDINANCE No. 38 of 1932. (PRISONS).

By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Prisons Ordinance, 1932, His Excellency the Governor is pleased to order and it is hereby ordered that the use for the purposes of a prison of the portions of the Kowloon Hospital and of the Queen Mary Hospital known as "The Prison Ward" be discontinued and that the said premises be appropriated to the purposes of a hospital.

Government Notification No. 339 published in the Gazette of 12th May, 1933, and Governinent Notification No. 425 published in the Gazette of the 18th June, 1937 are accordingly rescinded.

It is hereby notified that in accordance with section 7 of the St. Joseph's College Incorporation Ordinance, 1921, satisfactory evidence has been furnished to His Excellency the Governor by Brother CELBA ULTAN (known as Brother CELBA JOHN) of his appointment as the Director in Hong Kong of St. Joseph's College.
