No. 218. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HARRIE VAUGHAN WILKINSON, D.S.Ö., to be an Unofficial Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong.

No. 219.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under section 9 (3) of the Liquors Ordinance, 1931, Ordinance No. 36 of 1931, the Honourable Mr. JOHN ALEXANDER FRASER, M.C., J.P., to be an Official Member and Vice-Chairman of the Licensing Board during the absence on leave of the Honourable Mr. CHALONER GRENVILLE ALABASTER, O.B.E., K.C., J.P., or until further notice.

No. 220.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. HAROLD WEST, P.A.S.I., to be Superintendent of Crown Lands and Surveys, with effect from 8th January, 1938, inclusive.

16th March, 1938.

No. 221.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. COLIN BROWN ROBERTSON, Architect, to be an Executive Engineer, with effect from 29th September, 1937, inclusive.

17th March, 1938.

No. 222.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 10 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 41 of 1935, Dr. HERMANN BALEAN, F.R.C.S., to be a Member of the Medical Board for a term of three years, with effect from 1st March, 1938.
