The President of the United States of America has availed himself of the provisions of the Additional Protocol to the said Convention by declaring at the time of accession that the first paragraph of Article 2 of the Convention shall not apply to inter- rational transportation that may be performed by the United States of America or any territory or possession under its jurisdiction.

No. 61.-A competitive examination for appointment to two vacancies in the Probationer Grade of the Senior Clerical and Accounting Staff will be held in the Urban Council Board Room, Post Office Building, 3rd floor, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 22nd and 23rd February, 1938, at 9 a.m.
Candidates must be of pure British race and nationality and under 20 years of
age.
Papers will be set in Dictation, Composition (including Précis Writing), Arithmetic, and General Knowledge (including Geography) and Translation from French to English.
Any intending candidate should forward in writing to the Colonial Secretary's Office in an envelope clearly marked "S.C. and A.S. Examination on or before Friday, 11th February, 1933, his application stating his name, address and date of birth, and enclosing a copy of a certificate as to character from his employer or the Headmaster of his last school together with copies of school or other certificates as to education.
