No. 460.-Tenders will be received at this Office until Noon of Monday, the 18th instant, for the supply of Coal for the Government, and of the under-mentioned Articles for the Government Steam-Launches, for the space of six months, from 1st July next :-

Any of the above-mentioned articles, when required, are to be delivered free of charge at the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station.
Also Picked Best Japan Coal, for Office and Household use, to be delivered at any Government Office or Building in such quantities (not less than ton) as may be required. Coolie hire to be paid by the Contractor.
No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
For forms of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office, and this form only must be used.
For further information apply at the Offices of the Captain Superintendent of Police, and the Harbour Master.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract in the usual form of Government Contracts and to give security for the sum of $500 in a bond with two sureties conditioned for the dug and faithful performance of the covenants contained in such
contract.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
