No. 394.—With reference to Government Notification No. 347 of the 20th April last, published in the Government Gazette of the same date, announcing the appointment of GRAVES WILLIAM EVES to be Chief Resident Engineer in charge of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, British Section:

It is hereby notified that all correspondence and complaints with reference to the con- struction of the Railway should be addressed to Mr. EVES at his office No. 4 Austin Avenue, Kowloon.

No. 395.--Applications are invited for the appointment of Stenographer to the Com- mission referred to in Government Notification No. 390.

The successful applicant will be required to take full notes of the proceedings at each meeting of the Commission and on the day following each meeting to forward to the Secretary to the Commission seven type-written transcriptions of such notes.

Applications should reach this office not later than noon on Tuesday, the 15th instant, and should state the remuneration required.
