No. 303.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, with the approval of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint CHARLES MONTAGUE HEANLEY, M.B., to be Assistant Bacteriologist in the service of the Government of Hongkong, with effect from the 4th April, 1906.

No. 304.-It is hereby notified that the publications of the Engineering Standards Committee of the United Kingdom have been placed in the City Hall Library where they may be consulted by persons desirous of availing themselves of the Committee's specifica- tions. Copies have also been presented to the Libraries of the Hongkong Club and of the Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders of Hongkong.

No. 305. It is hereby notified that Friday, the 13th April, being a Public Holiday and Monday, the 16th April, being a Bank Holiday under the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1875, will be observed as Government Holidays.
It is also notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Saturday, the 14th April, to be observed as a Public Holiday throughout the Government Departments, except the Police Magistrate's Department.
