Ara-su Lighted Submarine Signal.

Description-Iron, conical in shape, painted black, surmounted by a lattice work, supporting a lantern and a bell, while a submarine bell hanged into the water under the 18 shaku from the sea level.

Height of light :-12 shaku above the sea level.

Character:-Acetylene gas flashing green light, showing a flash every 3 seconds. Illuminated Are:-The whole horizon.

Power-16 candles.

Distance visible :-5 nautical miles in clear night.

N.B. The bell provided into the water is to be acted by waves and its sound be received by ships in which submarine signal receivers prepared.

Gulf of Tokyo.

NOTICE is hereby given that Kawasaki Buoy S. end of Haneda Spit, Gulf, of Tokyo, shall be permanently withdrawn in the middle of December, 1915, and at the same time Kawasaki Lighted Buoy be moored in the same position :-

Distance visible:--8 nautical miles in clear night.
