Winter Navigation of Taku Bar and of the Hai Ho.
System of supplying information concerning ice in Gulf of Pechili.
NOTICE is hereby given of the following arrangements for the winter navigation of Taku Bar and the Hai Ho:---
Aids to Navigation :
General
After about the 1st December the Aids to Navigation over the Taku Bar will consist of the Outer Bar Range Lights, (which have been converted to the Aga system and considerably strengthened), the Inner Bar Range Lights and the River Entrance Lights. The position of the Taku Lightvessel, the Entrance Buoy, the Bar Lightboat and the Spit Lightboat will be marked by spar buoys, which, however, owing to shallow water or ice are liable to be ineffective marks. The wreck of the S.S. Guthrie will also be marked by a spar buoy. An unlighted beacon has been erected on its exposed forecastle head. The maintenance of this beacon cannot be assured. Particulars concerning these matters will be found in Local Notice to Mariners No. 164.
