The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or joggy weather. The heights given are above high water.

Princess Charlotte Bay.

Dhu Reef New Light.

MARINERS and others are hereby notified that the New light on Dhu Reef will be exhibited experimentally on or about 1st September, 1915.

Position.Latitude 14° 08′ S.; Longitude 144° 00′ E.

Structure.---Steel skeleton tower, painted red, on concrete pier.

Character.Single flashing white light showing one flash every 3 seconds, thus: -

Elevation. Fifty-six feet.

Visibility. Thirteen miles all round the horizon.

The reef near Cape Egerskiold in Bay Tolotoi Rog (Golden Horn) has been removeď by dredging to a depth of 28 feet and therefore the white and red enclosing beacons will not be put up any more.

THE sunken buoy in Bay Novik (chart No. 1795) has now been recovered and the perch guarding the buoy has been removed on 3/16 August.

This refers to notice No. 51 of 26th May (8th June, 1915).
