SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
1. The Purchaser shall immediately after the sale deposit with the Treasury the sum of $100 as a guarantee that he will comply with the Conditions of Sale which sum will be returned to the Purchaser on the Land Officer certifying that the Purchaser has com- plied with all the said Conditions and in the event of the Land Officer certifying that the Purchaser has failed to comply with the said Conditions or any of them the said sum of $100 or such part thereof as the Governor may think fit shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.
2. The Purchaser shall within one year from the date of sale construct a bund to the seaward side of the Lots to the satisfaction in every respect of the Land Officer and shall maintain the same in good order during the whole term for which the Lots are sold.
3. The Purchaser shall within 3 years from the date of sale reclaim and convert the land into Agricultural Land to the satisfaction of the Land Officer.
4. After the expiration of the said 3 years the Purchaser shall not during the remainder of the term for which the Lots are sold permit or allow the land to remain un- cultivated according to the custom of the country for a continuous period of 5 con- secutive years and a covenant to that effect shall be inserted in the Crown Lease of the Lots.
5. If the Lease is renewed at the end of 21 years from the date of sale the Crown Rent of the Lots shall then be re-assessed at a rate to be fairly and impartially fixed by the Surveyor to His Majesty.
6. No buildings shall be erected on the Lots, except such as in the opinion of the Land Officer may be necessary for their proper occupation as Agricultural Lots. On all land so occupied by buildings the Purchaser shall pay additional Crown Rent at the rate of $50 per acre per annum.

SANITARY DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 186. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the Blood and Hair Contract, Kennedy Town", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 21st September, 1915, for the daily collection and removal of blood and hair from the Slaughter House situated at Kennedy Town in the City of Victoria, for the period of one year, from the 1st January next.
The contractor shall at all times keep the Slaughter House in a thorough state of cleanliness, for which service he shall maintain as many coolies as may, in the opinion of the Sanitary Board, be necessary, but the number shall in no case be less than eleven, one of whom shall be employed as a fireman. The contractor shall also provide the necessary brooms and baskets.

No tender will be considered unless the persou tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $250 as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer.
