Order and character of Light.-5th Order white Group-flashing Light by acetylene gas, showing two flashes during every three seconds, followed by an eclipse of five seconds.
Illuminated arc. -For an arc of 262 degrees of horizon from S. 42° E., through S., W. and N., to N. 40° E. The bearings are magnetic and from sea- ward.
Candle power.—-800.
Distance visible.-19 nautical miles in clear weather.
Note. The light being unwatched, should it go out by accident, there may be some delay before relighting it. Mariners are hereby cautioned accordingly.

The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty ask that officers at British Ports should be requested to inform British ships of the following arrangements :---
On or about April 1st two light-vessels will be moored in the English Channel off Folkestone, one, a light-vessel showing green single flashing light in a position 140° (South 26° E. Magnetic) two and a half miles from Folkestone pierhead, or approximately in North Latitude 1° 14' 10"; two, a light-vessel showing white single flashing light in a position 150° (South 16° E. Magnetic) 1,000 yards from No. 1.
