SHANGHAI DISTRICT.

Tsungming Crossing.

Intended Alteration in Buoyage.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 23rd March the following alterations will be made in the buoyage of the Tsungming Crossing, owing to changes in the channel.

The East Entrance Buoy will be shifted 79 cables S. 87° W. from its present position and be placed in about 35 feet of water.

The First Crossing Buoy will be shifted 4 cables N. 69° E. from its present position and be placed in about 13 feet of water.

The Second Crossing Buoy will be shifted 6 cables S. 324° W. from its present position and be placed in about 22 feet of water.

The Buoys will retain their former characteristics.

All bearings given are magnetic, and depths are reduced to low water of spring tides.

NOTICE is hereby given that the character, candle power and visibility of the light of Niigata Lighthonse, Niigata Harbour, Province of Yechigo, will be changed as follows on and after the 31st of March 1915 :-

Niigata Lighthouse.

Character of light :--Acetylene gas occulting white, light 2 seconds, eclipse 2

seconds.

Candle power:-1,300.

Visible distance:-14 nautical miles in clear night.
