Langshan Crossing.
Alteration in Buoyage,
REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 436, notice is hereby given that on or about the 17th March the following alterations will be made in the buoyage of the Lang- shan Crossing, owing to changes in the channel.
The Vine Point Lower Buoy will be shifted 1.4 cables S. 17° W. from its present position, be placed in 39 feet of water, and retain its former characteristics.
The Waterman Bank Lower Buoy will be shifted 5 cables S. 39° E. from its present position, be placed in 30 feet of 'water, and retain its former characteristics.
The Vine Point Buoy will be shifted 2.4 cables S. 24° W. from its present position, be placed in 29 feet of water, and retain its former characteristics.
The Waterman Bank Upper Buoy will be shifted 5.8 cables S. 874° F. from its pre- sent position and be placed in 40 feet of water. The characteristics of the Buoy in its new position will be a 6-foot Buoy, painted red, surmounted by a black cylindrical shape. (In its new position it marks the starboard side of the channel for vessels bound up river.)
The Lower Crossing Buoy will be shifted 1.2 cables S. 31° E. from its present posi- tion, he placed in 30 feet of water, and retain its former characteristics.
The Upper Crossing Buoy will be shifted 2.4 cables S. 39° E. from its present posi- tion, be placed in 30 feet of water, and retain its former characteristics.

Water Shoaling off Shaweishan.
NOTICE is hereby given that Captain R. Macfarlane, of the S. S. Kaiping, reports a decrease in the depth of water to the eastward of Shaweishan. With Shaweishan bearing west, distant 24 miles, he obtained 19 feet where the chart shows 41 fathoms.
A decrease in the depth to the south-westward of Shaweishan is also reported.
Pending an examination of these localities, which will be shortly be effected, vessels in navigating the entrance to the North Channel should exercise caution.
