this is a circular device similiar to the one at either end (above described) and finally there are the words "Standard Oil Co., of New York" and "12 oz in the name of the STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK, who claim to be the sole pro- prietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is to be associated with Marks Nos. 15 and 16 of 1909 and 137 of 1914.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicant forthwith in respect of the following goods :—

Illuminating heating or lubricating oils

and candles, in Class 47.

is hereby given that JOHN WALKER BOLLES, Attorney for the STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK, with offices in Hotel Mansions, Hongkong, has on the 26th September, 1914, applied for the registration in Hongkong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark :-

The Trade Mark is triangular in form and

contains the device of a Pegasus or "Flying Horse " surmounted by the words Pegasus Brand" and underneath the words " Naphtha" "Standard Oil Company of New York" and ("Incorporated ") in three lines respectively. Along the inner sides of the triangle and to the right and left of the device are inscribed the words "26 Broadway, N.Y., U.S.A.",

in the name of the STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK, who claim to be the sole pro- prietors thercot.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicant forthwith in respect of the following goods :-

and carrying on business in the Settlement of Penang or at Medan, Sumatra, to my attorney hereinafter mentioned and all creditors where- soever resident if so required by me or by my said attorney by notice in writing are by their Solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice or in default thereof they will be excluded from any distri- bution made before such debts are proved.

And notice is hereby further given that by Deed Poll under my hand and seal bearing date the 11th day of January, 1915, I have ap- pointed HUMPHREY BASIL WARD, of No. 6, Beach Street, Penang, Chartered Accountant, to be my attorney within the Settlement of Penang for the purposes of the said liquida- tion and notices of all debts and claims

owing to creditors resident and carrying on business in the Settlement of Penang or at Medan, Sumatra, should accordingly be sent to the said HUMPHREY BASIL WARD.
