narrow and extends 750 feet out from the left bank of the river. Soundings taken near the Western extremity gave least water 134 feet reduced to zero of the Customs Tide Gauge.

To avoid passing over the ridge vessels should keep within I cable from the right bank of the river till abreast the Birds Nest Rock Buoy.
