No. 45. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint provi- sionally and subject to His Majesty's confirmation, HENRY EDWARD POLLOCK, K.C., to be an unofficial member of the Legislative Council from the 17th January, 1906, in place of Sir CATCHICK PAUL CHATER, C.M.G., resigned.

No. 46. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept the resig- nation by Captain GEORGE JOHN BUDDS SAYER of his Commission in the Hong- kong Volunteer Corps, and has permitted him while in the Colony to wear the uniform of his rank at the date of retirement.

No. 47.-Information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will take place between the 26th January to the end of February for about 12 days (on whatever dates that may be convenient) from the Northern Slopes of Beacon Hill and Eagle's Nest, with 4.7 Q.F. Guns, 5′′ B.L. Howitzers, 2.95" Q.F. Maxims, in the following direction :--
The triangle:-Needle Hill-Eastern Slope of Tai-mo-shan above Pine
Apple Pass-and 6th mile-stone Tai Po Road.

No. 48.--Notice is hereby given that WONG AH TING, carrying on business under the style of old MAN YU TONG, at No. 7, Castle Road, Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, has complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of his Mark No. 10 of 1906, as applied to Books, in Class 39; and that the same has been duly registered.
