LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS, No. 2.
Establishment of Light-vessel to mark Staunch Island Rock, West River. NOTICE is hereby given that the Rocks (in the West River) near Fist Cliffs known as Staunch Island, () have been marked by a Light-vessel, which is painted (Red) with the name "Staunch Island" on her sides in white Lotters. Her mast, from which a (Red) light (visible in clear weather at a distance of one mile) is exhibited, is surmounted by a black spherical shape. The above Light-vessel, which was established ou the 27th instant, is moored immediately below Staunch Island, and its approximate position is :—
