Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, Mer- chants, have on the 15th day of September, 1914, applied for the registration in Hong- kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Mark :---

Representation of a Chinaman standing

on a bale of piece goods with one foot raised. On his left hand a similar bale is held up above his head. in the name of ALEX. Ross & Co., who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark has been used by the applicants since 1908 and is intended to be used by the applicants in respect of Cotton Piece Goods, in Class 24.

A representation of the Trade Mark is deposited for inspection in the office of the Registrar of Trade Marks.

OTICE is hereby given that the Petition, Declaration and Office Copies of the Letters Patent and complete Specifications re- quired by the above mentioned Ordinances have been duly filed in the Office of the Colonial Secretary of Hongkong and that it is the intention of the above-named CHARLES HENDEREEN by Messra. DENNYS & BOWLEY his Solicitors to apply to His Excellency the Governor-in-Council at 9.30 a.m. on the 5th November, 1914, for Letters Patent for the exclusive use within the Colony of Hongkong of the said invention.
