(Re- fuse of new goods coming direct from the weaving-mills, from workshops where apparel is made or from bleaching establishments, artificial wool, and cuttings of new paper, are not considered as rags.)

HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 291.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for supply of Winter Uniform for Boatmen and Seamen of Harbour Department", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 25th day of September, 1914, for the supply of the above mentioned uniform for this Department.

Samples of Uniform may be seen, and form of tender obtained, at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 292.-It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under :—

From West Battery, Stonecutters, in a North-Westerly direction, between the

hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon.

All junks, ships and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.
