NOTICE is hereby given that JOHN WAL-NO

KER BOLLES, Attorney for the STAN- DARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK, with offices in Hotel Mansious, Hongkong, has on the 2nd July, 1914, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark :-

A circular device containing a shield having emblazoned at the upper end the word "Socony" and subjoined in small print the words Trade Mark" and at the lower extremity the words "Standard Oil Company of New York" and underneath 26 Broad- way surmounting the whole the letters "S O" and on the left hand side thereof the letter "N" and on the right side thereof the letter "Y" all embraced within the circumference of the circle.

in the name of the STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK, who claim to be the sole pro- prietors thereof.

The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicant forthwith in respect of the following goods

Illuminating heating or lubricating Oils in

Class 47.

This Trade Mark is to be associated with

Trade Marks Nos. 15 and 16 of 1909.
