HUMPHREYS & Co., has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of January, 1914, so far as concerns the said WILLIAM GRIFFITH HUMPHREYS who retires from the said firm. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid res- pectively by WILLIAM MEYRICK HUMPHREYS, ERNEST HUMPHREYS and CECIL HUMPHREYS, who will continue to carry on the said busi- ness in partnership under the said style of W. G. HUMPHREYS & CO.

presented to the Supreme Court of Hongkong, on the 29th June, 1914, for con- firming a Special Resolution reducing the capital of the above-named Company from Taels 300,000 to Taels 120,000 by reducing the par value of the shares from Taels 50 cach to Taels 20 each is directed to be heard before the Chief Justice of Hongkong on Tuesday, the 4th day of August, 1914. at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon. Any Creditor or Shareholder of the Company desiring to oppose the making of the Order for the reduction of the Capital of the said Company under the above Ördi- nances should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose and a copy of the Petition will be furnished to any Creditor or Shareholder of the Company requiring same by the undersigned on pay- ment of the regulated charges for same.

was on the 17th day of June, 1914, presented to the Supreme Court of Hongkong by the above-named Company to confirm the alteration of the said Company's objects pro- posed to be effected by a Special Resolution of the said Company unanimously passed at Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company held on the 23rd day of April, 1914, and subsequently unanimously confirmed at a further Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company hold on the 11th day of May, 1914, and which Resolution runs as follows:-
That the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company be res- pectively extended, altered, and amended so as to read as shewn in the Print signed for the purpose of identification by the Chairman of this Meeting and that such extended, altered, and amended Memorandum and Articles of Association be hence- forth adopted as the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company to the exclusion of those heretofore prevailing."

And notice is further given that such Petition is directed to be heard before His Honour Mr. HENRY HESSY JOHNSTON GOMPERTZ, Acting Chief Justice of the said Court on Saturday, the 25th day of July, 1914, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon, and any person in- terested in the aid Company whether Creditor policy holder or otherwise and desir ing to oppose the making of an order for the confirmation of the said alterations under the Companies' Ordinance 1911 should appear at the time of hearing by himself or by his Counsel for the purpose. A copy of the said Petition will be furnished to any such person requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
