NOTICE TO MAKINERS, No. 109.
Canton River Existence of Uncharted Patch of Rock: Rock to be Temporarily Buoyed.
NOTICE is hereby given that a small patch of flat rock covered by 7 feet of water at L.W.S.T. exists in Canton Harbour, approximately 400 feet from the Fati Bund. From the centre of the patch the tower of the English Church, near the Western end of Shameen Island, bears N. 11° E. magnetic distant 1,700 feet.
On or about the 2nd June, the northern extremity of the patch will be temporarily buoyed with a small black conical buoy, exhibiting a fixed green light from sunset to sunrise, and marking the port side of the channel for inward bound vessels.
