Vessels. are cautioned not to drop anchor when on the line marked by these Boards. Vessels dropping up or down the stream to a short cable must lift their anchors off the ground before arriving at this line.

CANTON DISTRICT.

New Beacon to be established in Whampoa Anchorage to mark Entrance to

Sulphur Channel.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about April 7th, a new Beacon will be established in Whampoa Anchorage marking the end of the Spit which extends to South Eastward of Pedder Island.

The Beacon will be painted red and will carry a red light between sunset and sunrise. It should, therefore, be passed on the starboard hand by vessels bound to Canton by the Front Reach.
