Port Hedland-Buoy Established.
POSITION:On the northern portion of Middle Bank at a distance of 24 cables, 235deg. S. 55deg. W. magnetic from the steel beacon on Hunt Point; to replace 3-pile beacon.
Description: A black spar buoy with staff and cage.
Depth at Buoy :-6ft, at low water spring tides.
Light :- -A fixed red light will be shown from this buoy when steamers are entering or leaving the port at night, visible one mile.
Variation :-0·20E.
