WEST COAST,

STREAKY BAY LIGHT-SOUTH CHANNEL.

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 5 of 1911, Master of Vessels and others are hereby informed that, on and after the night of November 7th, a white, unwatched, flashing light will be exhibited from an open iron pile structure on the south side of the shallowest part of the South Channel.

The light will show white between the bearing 75° (N. 72° E. mag.) to 305° (N. 58° W. mag.) and red between 305° (N. 58° W. mag.) to 75° (N. 72° E. mag.), i.e., red over the land of Gibson Peninsula.

The light will show 20 flashes per minute, and its focal plane will be 30ft. above ordinary sea level, and in clear weather visible for a distance of about 10 miles.

Approximate position.-Lat. 32° 41′ S.; Long. 134° 10′ E.

BIRD ROCK-MURAT BAY.

Also that, on and after the night of November 14th, a white, unwatched, flashing light will be exhibited from an open iron pile structure on the highest part of Bird Rock.

The light will show white between the bearing 204° (S. 21° W. mag.) to 72° (N. 69° E.) and red between 72° (N. 69° E. mag.) to 98° (S. 85° E. mag.), obscured between 98° (S. 85° E. mag.) to 158° (S. 25° E. mag.) and red between 158° (S. 25° E. mag.) to 204° (S. 21° W. mag.).

The light will flash 20 flashes per minute, and its focal plane will be 25ft. above ordi- nary sea level, and in clear weather visible for a distance of about 10 miles.

Approximate position.-Lat. 32° 11′ S.; Long. 138° 371⁄2′ E. This affects Admiralty Chart No. 1061.
