No. 8. 513.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Head Stones", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 22nd day of December, 1941, for the supply of Head Stones for use in the Government Cemeteries, for the period from the 1st April, 1942 to 31st March, 1943.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited with the Accountant- General the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

The successful tenderer will be required to sign a formal contract containing con- ditions to be prescribed by the Council and also to give security by depositing a sum of $200 with the Accountant-General: failing compliance with these requirements the sum deposited with the tender will be forfeited.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. 8. 514.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Watchmen's Huts", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Wednesday, the 10th day of December, 1941. The work consists of the erection of wooden huts at various sites.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $1,000.00 with the Accountant-General, which will be held as security for six months after completion of the works.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.
