No. S. 496.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate which should be cleary marked "Tsat Tse Mui Quarry-Removal of Overburden", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 15th day of December, 1941. The contract comprises the supply of all plant labour and materials required for the removal of overburden at Tsat Tse Mui Quarry, including conveying to a place of deposit and any contingent works.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $200 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

No. 8. 497.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Demolition of Squatters' Shacks and other Illegal Structures on Crown Land", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 15th day of December, 1941, for demolition of squatters' shacks and other illegal structures on Crown Land in the Colony of Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Kowloon during the year 1942.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $250.00 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance
for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
