2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 11th November, 1941 :-

(a) Reserved between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. as alternative date for Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice originally detailed for 6th November, 1941, in the southern area of the Island.

Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.

(b) Heavy gun practice seawards between the hours of 3.00 p.m. and 10.00

p.m.

Firing Area "A" will be affected.

(c) Light gun practice seawards between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice as under is notified for 12th November, 1941:-

(a) Heavy gun practice seawards between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00

p.m.

Firing Area "E" will be affected.

Alternative date-13th November, 1941.

(b) Heavy gun

anti-aircraft practice in the western area of the Island between the hours of 8.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

Alternative date-13th November, 1941.

4. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of ships and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 as amended by Hong Kong Government Notifications of various dates, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing areas, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

Light not Burning.

Position.-Lat. 09° 38′ N., long. 121° 22′ E. (Approx.).

Details. Manucan Island Light was reported not burning on the night of October

25th, 1941.
