No. S. 454.-In accordance with section 6 of the Cremation Ordinance, 1934, as enacted by the Cremation Amendment Ordinance, 1936, it is hereby notified that the Government proposes to erect a Crematorium, in conjunction with a Mortuary and Disinfecting Station, in Kowloon on a site bounded by Argyle Street, Beech Street and Tai Kok Tsui Road.
If any person objects to such erection, such objections must be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Urban Council so as to reach his office not later than Friday, 21st November, 1941.

No. S. 455. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tenders for the purchase of rice bags", will be received at the
Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 24th November, 1941, for the purchase of rice bags from the Prison Department.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $10 as a pledge of bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person shall refuse to carry out his tender in the event of his tender being accepted.
Deposits will be returned when the name of the successful tenderer is published.
The rice bags consist of the following :-
A.--700 rice bags approximately (with blue stripes).
B.-390
C.–140

The rice bags may be seen and forms of tender may be obtained on application at the Hong Kong Prison, Stanley.
No tender will be considered unless submitted in triplicate on the forms provided.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
