Air Raid Warnings to Shipping.
Former Notice.-No. 244/1939 of the 29th November, 1939, hereby cancelled.
Position.-Singapore Harbour.
Details.--On receipt of an air-raid warning the following signal will be made :-
By Day: TWO RED BURGEES hoisted one above the other at Fort Canning Flagstaff (Lat. 01° 17′ N., long. 103° 51′ E. approx.) and in the Examination Vessel off Blakang Mati.
The sounding of air-raid syren alarms (a continuous fluctuating
blast lasting approximately three minutes).
By Night: The indications that an attack is imminent will be the extinction of all lights ashore and the sounding of air-raid syren alarms (a continuous fluctuating blast lasting approximately three minutes).
Warnings will also be passed by telephone to Palo Bukom and Pulo
Sebarok.
On receipt of any of the above indications all movement within the Port is to cease and ships are to extinguish all lights and remain in darkness until the "All Clear" signal is given ashore (a continuous blast at a steady pitch lasting approximately three minutes).
The signal
"Port Closed" will not be made.

List of Approved Manufacturers in Hong Kong.
With reference to Notice to Mariners No. 4 of 1939, published in Government Gazette No. 3 of the 13th January, 1939, it is hereby notified that the firm of Wai Kee, 129 Des Voeux Road Central, is to be temporarily placed on the list of manu- facturers of approved Kapok Lifebuoys.
